Ted Cruz’s Opinion of Donald Trump

July 21, 2016 by The Staff Leave a Comment

Ted Cruz, “Donald Trump deceived thousands of hard-working men and women looking to make a better life for themselves.  In exchange for their support, he promised them they would win.  Instead, Trump misled them and left them in debt.  Donald Trump has a long history of defrauding others to make himself richer.”

Republicans Endorse Misuse of God’s Name With Prayer

July 19, 2016 by The Staff Leave a Comment

Think Progress writes, “Even before he finished, Mark Burns’ prayer sparked fierce criticism on social media from liberal and conservative Christians alike. Yahoo News senior editor and storied religion reporter Amy Sullivan called it “the most explicitly partisan prayer heard at a major party convention in modern times.” Eric Teetsel, former faith outreach director for Marco Rubio’s campaign, tweeted that it was “shameful,” saying it was “a disgusting and disturbing misuse of God’s name and lies.” And the Interfaith Alliance, a group that “celebrates religious freedom,” released a sharply worded statement condemning the prayer.”

Mark Burns is a preacher that preaches money and wealth from the pulpit.

The Interfaith Alliance raises concerns about partisan benediction at the Republican National Convention.

The verbatim of the “prayer”:

Hello Republicans! I’m Pastor Mark Burns from the great state of South Carolina! I’m going to pray and I’m going to give the benediction. And you know why? Because we are electing a man in Donald Trump who believes in the name of Jesus Christ. And Republicans, we got to be united because our enemy is not other Republicans — but is Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party.

Let’s pray together. Father God, in the name of Jesus, Lord we’re so thankful for the life of Donald Trump. We’re thankful that you are guiding him, the you are giving him the words to unite this party, this country, that we together can defeat the liberal Democratic Party, to keep us divided and not united. Because we are the United States of America, and we are the conservative party under God.

To defeat every attack that comes against us, to protect the life of Donald Trump, give him the words, give him the space, give him the power and the authority to be the next President of the United States of America, in Jesus’ name — if you believe it, shout Amen!

The benediction at today’s #RNC was the most blasphemous prayer I’ve ever witnessed. #markburns #RNC2016 https://t.co/msMcZR0Rit

July 16, 2016 by The Staff Leave a Comment

Twitter was, well, all a twitter about the odd looking Trump/Pence logo released this week after The Donald selected Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana as his running mate. Two Republicans chose another route to commemorate the not so blessed event with a new phrase, “TrumpUpPence”. Please share.

Chris Christie Lies About Barack Obama’s Job Facts

July 15, 2016 by The Staff Leave a Comment

The Facts from Politifact.com: Signed into law less than a month into Obama’s presidency, the stimulus bill allocated about $787 billion in federal spending and tax benefits. By Sept. 30 of this year, about $5.5 billion had been awarded to recipients in New Jersey alone.

Compared to what would have happened otherwise, the stimulus bill increased the number of people employed by between 1 million and 2.9 million in the second quarter of 2011, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Mark Zandi, chief economist for Moody’s Analytics, projected that without the stimulus bill, the country would have had 1.75 million fewer jobs as of the third quarter of 2011.

July 9, 2016 by The Staff Leave a Comment

Joe Walsh was scheduled to perform in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 17th until he found out that he was deceived when it turns out that the “event” was actually a launch for the GOP’s Republican National Convention.  The artist says, “I cannot in good conscience endorse the Republican party in any way.”

According to Rolling Stone, “I am very concerned about the rampant vitriol, fear-mongering and bullying coming from the current Republican campaigns,” he continued. “It is both isolationist and spiteful. I cannot in good conscience endorse the Republican party in any way. I will look at doing a veteran related benefit concert later this year.”

Trump’s Fake News Conference

June 22, 2016 by The Staff Leave a Comment

The crowd today, June 22, 2016, was made up of supporters in the first four rows.  The remainder of the seats were filled with press.

It was amazing that his scripted remarks brought stand-up applause from the first four rows.  The rest of the room remained seated.

Sounded like a staged television show similar to the Apprentice.

Trump made several references to the debunk conspiracy book written by Peter Schweizer.

March 18, 2016 by The Staff Leave a Comment

The Hypocrisy of a Republican Governor

Republican Governor Robert Bentley has given is top aids an increase of 80% ($73,405) stating that their $91,000 salaries were too low.

One beneficiary is Mac Gipson (Alcoholic Beverage Control Administrator) and cabinet member of the governor.

Robert Bentley is a strong supporter of anti-immigration legislation and is against raising the minimum wage (despite the above salaries).

Big money seems to rule politics in Alabama.

If you value where your tax dollars are being spent, but sure you understand this when you next vote.

Republican Controlled Congress – Do Your Job!

March 16, 2016 by The Staff Leave a Comment

Lambda Legal writes, “The Constitution is clear: The President nominates justices to the Supreme Court, and the Senate confirms or rejects them.

Some Republican leaders in Congress are calling into question President Obama’s authority to fulfill his constitutional responsibility to fill court vacancies.  Some senators are even saying they will oppose anyone President Obama nominates to the Court.”

If you can’t represent the people, get out of that precious seat you are warming.
