On January 6, 2021, within the District of Columbia and elsewhere, the defendants, ETHAN NORDEAN, JOSEPH BIGGS, ZACH REHL, and CHARLES DONOHOE did knowingly, and with intent to impede and disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business and official functions, engage in disorderly and disruptive conduct in and within such proximity to, a restricted building and grounds, that is, any posted, cordoned-off, and otherwise restricted area within the United States Capitol and its grounds, where the Vice President and Vice President-Elect were temporarily visiting, when and so that such conduct did in fact impede and disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business and official functions. (In violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 17 52( a )(2))

Biggs Again Brings Shame to Arizona

Biggs, who leads the conservative House Freedom Caucus, has come under scrutiny for his social media and comments that some say helped incite the Jan. 6 rampage in which supporters of former President Donald Trump attacked police and overran the U.S. Capitol as Congress was certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election. A watchdog group named Campaign for Accountability filed a request with the Office of Congressional Ethics to investigate Biggs and Rep. Paul Gosar, R-Ariz., who has faced similar allegations. Biggs denies that he did anything to incite the riot. 1

“In reviewing surveillance footage of this incident, your affiant observed the defendants, JULIAN ELIE KHATER and GEORGE PIERRE TANIOS, working together to assault law enforcement officers with an unknown chemical substance by spraying officers directly in the face and eyes. Your affiant further observed these defendants appeared to time the deployment of chemical substances to coincide with other rioters’ efforts to forcibly remove the bike rack barriers that were preventing the rioters from moving closer to the Capitol building.”

Hilton, Donald; Oswego County Sheriff

Sheriff Violated Federal Law

At a campaign boat rally on Oneida Lake in August, Oswego County Sheriff Donald Hilton was photographed by the Post-Standard aboard a sheriff’s office boat providing security, with the banner depicting President Donald Trump’s face superimposed over an American flag. Hilton, a Republican, acknowledged that an attendee gave deputies the flag and he approved its exhibition, drawing criticism from residents and other officials, as well as an investigation by the U.S. Office of Special Counsel. 2

Two Arrested

Julian Elie Khater, 32, of Pennsylvania and George Pierre Tanios, 39 of Morgantown, W.Va., were arrested Sunday and are expected to appear in federal court Monday. 3
